General Semites will be prepared to operate and repair all power <br />generation equipment, provide recovery and repair of county vehicles damaged during <br />emergency response operations, and repair and modify facilities to meet emergency <br />requirements. This will inclu~te shelter sites as needed. <br /> <br /> B. General Services coo~inates support for emergency response agencies and <br />coordinates with the Finance~Department and local businesses to provide the materials, <br />equipment, and labor necess,la'y to accomplish the required tasks. As needed, the Director, <br />General Services will coordinate additional support from local municipalities. <br /> <br /> C. The Director, PazI:z :~ P.:.:.r:.:.:!zn General Services will coordinate and conduct <br />debris removal at county facilities. The landfill supervisor will assist with this task by <br />providing additional vehicle~, equipment and personnel. Damage assessment teams will <br />provide information on the Il[cations, amount, and types of debris encountered during <br />their operations to the DirectDr, ~ General Services (see Annex M, <br />Damage Assessment/Recov{~ry). <br /> <br /> D. The State of North Ca Iolina maintains state roads within the county and will keep <br />these routes clear during em. rgency situations. The Department of Transportation will <br />clear and remove debris on tle right-of-ways on state roads. Within the municipalities in <br />the county there is a mixture ~f state-maintained roads and city/town maintained streets <br />and roads. The county and r~unicipalities will coordinate agreements with the <br />Department of Transportati4 (NCDOT) to specify responsibility for debris removal and <br />repair of these roads. <br /> <br /> G. The county Emergen~ Operations Center will provide information and coordinate <br />with the North Carolina Del~rtment of Transportation to clear critical roadways and <br />other areas to provide access]for emergency vehicles if needed to respond to specific <br />situations. <br /> <br />IV.
