JANET SLACK, AICP <br /> <br />DATE: JUNE 6, 2003 <br /> <br />RE: SITE VISITS <br /> <br />I would like to update the Committee on the progress of scheduling the site visits for Ware-Bonsall and <br />Moseley, Wdkins, and Wood. The schedule is as follows: <br /> <br />June 26: Depart for Brunswick County with an ovemight stay <br />June 27:9.00 AM - Tour Brunswick County Courthouse (maximum visitation of two hours) <br /> Depart for Cumberland County <br /> Lunch <br /> 1:00 PM - Tour Cumberland County Jail (maximum visitation of two hours) <br /> Return <br /> <br />July 17.1:00 PM - Take a day trip to Lincoln County to visit Jail and retum (maximum visitation of two <br /> hours) <br />July 18:9:00 AM - Take a day trip to Henry County (Virginia) to visit court facilities and return <br /> <br />I am breaking up the Lincoln County and Henry County site visits as they are relatively close to <br />Cabarrus County, but are in opposing directions. <br /> <br />I have ten rooms reserved at the Wilmington Coastline Inn for June 26~h. Please let me know whether <br />or not you will be attending no later than June 23'd. The Brunswick County tour will begin at 9:00 am for <br />those who wish to meet the group in Bolivia at the Courthouse. Cabarrus County will provide for the <br />hotel stay but each Committee member will be responsible for their own transportation. The websita for <br />the hotel is www.coastlineinn.com if you need directions, or I can provide directions to either the <br />Courthouse or the hotel. <br /> <br />Following the July 18"~ visit, I would like to schedule a few minutes for the Committee to come up with a <br />recommendation for the Board of Commissioners, who will be meeting the following Monday, July 21". <br />Lastly, I will be taking as many digital photographs as possible and will have the contact names and <br />phone numbers for the sites we will visit, in the event someone is unavailable.
