Each Internet capable <br />workstation will be configured to allow the screening and review of sites <br />visited on the Internet. <br /> <br />When sending or forwarding e-mail, either internally or externally, all <br />employees shall identify themselves clearly and accurately. Originating or <br />forwarding anonymous or pseudonymous communications in any form or manner is <br />expressly forbidden. <br /> <br />Web pages: In order to maintain a consistent, quality presence on the <br />Internet, County departments interested in developing content for the <br />Internet should coordinate and receive approval from I.T.S. before Internet <br />information will be published. <br /> <br />Information published on the Internet should be written in a clear and <br />concise manner and presented in a graphically appealing format. Once <br />information is published, it is the ongoing responsibility of the <br />corresponding department to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the content <br />of its web pages. Web page upgrades should be forwarded to I.T.S. for review <br />and publication. Each upgrade must include its source, the date at which it <br />was current, and an electronic mail address allowing I.T.S. to contact the <br />staff responsible for making the information avallable in its then current <br />form. <br /> <br />Links to other web sites will be at the discretion of Cabarrus County. Links <br />to Non-government sites must meet predefined, mutually agreeable content <br />guidelines. <br /> <br />I have read, understand, and agree to the above policy and am aware that <br />additional administrative policy may apply to specific technologies: <br /> <br />Signed: <br />Date: <br />A signed copy of this policy will be filed in the Employee Personnel File. <br /> <br />(E-16) Renewal of Franchise with Mid-State Transport for Non-Emergency <br /> <br />Ambulance Service <br /> <br /> The Board received the written recommendation from Mike Downs (Public <br />Safety Services Director), David Hampton (Emergency Medical Services <br />Director), Jonathan Marshall (Planning Services Director) and James Sasser <br />(Transportation Coordinator) for the renewal of the non-exclusive franchise <br />with Mid-State Transport to provide non-emergency medical transportation. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carr~th <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted on first reading the following <br />Resolution and Ordinance along with an 'Agreement for Franchise of <br />Transportation Services for Cabarrus County Non-Emergency Transportation <br />Services" between Cabarrus County and Mid-State Transport, Inc. <br /> <br /> Resol~on NO. 2003-21 <br /> Ordxnancn No. 2003-08 <br /> RESOLUTION AND ORDINANCE <br /> RENEWING A NON-EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO <br /> MID-STATE TRANSPORT, INC., <br /> FOR THE OPERATION AND REGULATION OF A <br /> NON-EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE <br /> WITHIN CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, <br /> PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE <br /> ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 4, 1990, AND CONSTITUTING <br /> THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT REFERRED TO THEREIN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 4, 1990, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County <br />(the "County") adopted an Ambulance Franchise Ordinance providing for the <br />grant of franchises for the operation and regulation of non-emergency <br />ambulance service in Cabarrus County, North Carolina (the "Ordinance"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mid-State Transport, Inc., has submitted its "Proposal for Cabarrus <br />County" dated September 13, 2002 (the "Proposal"), to the County to operate <br />a non-emergency ambulance service in Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br />WHERF2%S, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County adopted a resolution <br />and ordinance granting a non-exclusive franchise to Mid-State Transport Inc. <br />for the operation of a non-emergency ambulance ssi-vice on November 18, 2002; <br />and <br /> <br /> <br />
