Krimminger and <br />M. Irene Russell <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Captain Gerald Krimminger and Deputy Irene Russell will be retiring on September 1, <br />2003. North Carolina General Statute 20-187.2 permits the Board of Commissioners to <br />award to a retiring officer his/her service side arm at a price determined by the Board upon <br />the officer securing permit required by GS 14-402. A permit has been issued to both <br />Captain Krimminger and Deputy Russell for the purchase of their weapon. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Pursuant to NCGS 20-187.2, declare surplus and authorize the award for the price of <br />$1.00 the service weapons to the following officers upon their retirement on September 1, <br />2003: <br />Gerald W.
