STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA ) <br /> ) <br />CABARRUS COUNTY ) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cabarms County owns 147 Smith & Wesson 5906 (weapons) and valued at <br />$36,750 collectively; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sig Arms, Inc. of New Jersey owns 160 Sig P226 (weapons) and valued at <br />$88,000 collectively; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County desires to purchase 160 Sig P226 (weapons) from Sig Arms, <br />Inc. while trading-in 147 Smith & Wesson 5906 (weapons); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes 143-129.7 and 160A-271 authorizes the <br />County to make such an exchange/trade-in if authorized by the Board of Commissioners <br />by a resolution adopted at a regular meeting of the board upon at least 10 days' public <br />notice; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County has given the required public notice, and the board is convened <br />in a regular meeting. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />RESOLVES THAT: <br /> <br /> 1. The exchange/trade-in of personal property described above is authorized. <br /> 2. The appropriate County officials are directed to execute the appropriate <br /> instruments necessary to carry out the exchange/trade-in. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 21st day of July, 2003. <br /> <br />ROBERT M.
