Bids were received and opened on June 6, 2003. The contracts were <br />awarded based on a package to build both schools. Welliver McGuire, general <br />contractor, was the lowest responsible bidder. The contract includes site work, <br />construction of the building and a sports complex at each facility. <br /> <br />Bethel Elementary $8,708,650.00 (includes sports complex) <br /> <br />Pitts School Road $10,383,150.00 (includes site work & sports complex) <br /> <br />I would like for you to place this information on the Commissioners agenda for their July <br />21~t 2003 regular meeting for approval. <br /> <br />cc: Board of Education, Gene Jordan, Don Clickner <br /> <br /> <br />
