CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 7/28/03 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # '~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Discussion of the Proposed Convention Center with the Concord City Council. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Concord City Council requests that the Board of Commissioners allocate <br />approximately $700,000 to $800,000 annually from occupancy tax proceeds to the City of <br />Concord to pay 1/2 the debt service on a convention center. The convention center would <br />be operated by John Q.
