CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 8/18/03 Agenda Item # ~/"'- ~' <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Budget Amendment -- Sheriff's Department <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />FY 2003 carry forward of Federal Forfeiture Sharing ($114,935.30) and NC Substance <br />Control Tax ($170,203.15)funds. The Federal Forfeiture Sharing expense account is <br />mandated by legislation for the equitable sharing of seized property. NC Substance <br />Control Tax mandates the payment of excise tax on unauthorized substances.
