Meeting Date <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />10/20/03 Agenda Item # -~"~ I O <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />The Public Safety Services Dept., Emergency Management Division was awarded the NC <br />State Performance Grant. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Each year Cabarrus Co. receives an Emerg. Mngt. Grant from the State of NC. These <br />funds are used to support the operations of our local Emerg. Mgnt. programs. For the last <br />few years Cabarrus Co. has received $16,345. This year the State has included an <br />additional $22,669 to help further supplement our local programs. Upon approval of the <br />Board these funds will be included in the 2004-Operating Budget of the Public Safety Ser. <br />Dept.
