Effective <br />01.01.2004, G. S. 47-13.2(a) will restrict public access to discharges that have <br />been recorded in the Register of Deeds office for 50 years or less. Hard copies <br />will be transferred to Register of Deeds basement vault, which is inaccessible <br />to the public. The proposed Phase .I Scope of Services has been prepared <br />with compensation as follows: Jail Facility Program - $71,280.00; Judicial Master <br />Plan - $26,240.00; Site Selection Study - $23,440.00. The County will also be <br />charged reimbursable expenses for such things as travel, reproductions, etc. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Phase I Scope of Services and <br />fees for Ware Bo~sall A~chitects for the Ja~l and Court Facilities project and <br />authorized the County Manager to execute the contract with Ware Bonsall <br />Architects. <br /> <br />(F-17) Settin~ m Joint Maetin~ with the Cmbarrus County Board of Education on <br />November 20, 2003 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Comissioner Privates, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board agreed to meet with the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Education at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, NoYember 20, 2003, at the Cabarrus Coun4y <br />Education Center to discus growth-relate~ issues. <br /> <br />(~) ~ BUSINESS <br /> <br />(G-l) Road Nmma Chan~e - Little Man Trail to Lexford Court - Public Hearin~ - <br />6,30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Planning Services Director, presented the request <br />for the renaming of Little Man Trail to L~xford Court (Petition C2003-01). Three <br />residents owning 73.9 percent of the street frontage have petitioned to rename <br />the street. Lexford Court meets all street-naming criteria, including 911 <br />considerations. <br /> <br /> At 8:05 p.m., Chairman Freeman opened the public hearing for the renaming <br />of Little Man Trail to Lexford Court and asked if anyone wished 4o speak for or <br />against the proposed road name change. The Public Hearing Notice was published <br />in THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER (Cabarrus Neighbors) on October 9, 2003. ~ <br /> <br /> There was no one present to address the Board, and Chairman Freeman closed <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Co~issioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the renaming of Little Man Trail 4o <br />Lexford Court (Petition C2003-01). <br /> <br /> <br />
