CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 12/15/03 Agenda Item # ~- I CO <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Resolution of Agreement with NC Division of Water Quality for Westside Bypass Extension <br />Project R-2246C. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />A 401 Water Quality Certification from the NC Division of Water Quality is required before <br />NCDOT can advertise for bids on the Westside Bypass Extension Project (R-2246C). To <br />issue this certification, DWQ is requiring that Concord and Cabarrus County agree to work <br />with that office on additional water quality protection methods. The attached resolution <br />identifies some of those measures and the County's willingness to work with the City of <br />Concord in implementing them.
