CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> December 15, 2003 - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />At its meeting on October 20, 2003, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />tentatively approved, subject to a public hearing that will be held on December 15, 2003, <br />the proposed sale of title in fee simple approximately 5.5 acres, more or less, of real <br />property (the "Real Property) consisting of three parcels (Parcels "A", "B" and "C") <br />located in the City of Concord and described as follows: <br /> <br />Parcel "A" consists of approximately 1.0 acre, more or less, located at the corner of Union <br />Cemetery Road and Cabarrus Avenue at the former County Fairgrounds property (part of <br />Parcel Number 5620027234). The fair market value of the Real Property Parcel "A" is <br />approximately $432,000 and the consideration to be received by Cabarrus County from <br />FFC Limited Partnership for the sale of the real property is $432,000. <br /> <br />Parcel "B" consists of approximately 2.5 acres, more or less, located on Union Cemetery <br />Road at the former County Fairgrounds property (part of Parcel Number 5620027234). <br />The fair market value of the Real Property Parcel "B" is approximately $500,000 and the <br />consideration to be received by Cabarrus County from Centdev Properties LLC for the <br />sale of the real property is $500,000. <br /> <br />Parcel "C" consists of approximately 2.0 acres, more or less, located on Concord Parkway <br />at the front of the former Cabarrus County School Administrative Complex (part of <br />Parcel Number 5611905925). The fair market value of the Real Property Parcel "C" is <br />approximately $320,000 and the consideration to be received by Cabarrus County from <br />Mike Everett for the sale of the real property is $320,000. <br /> <br />The public hearing is being held pursuant to Section 158-7.1 of the North Carolina General <br />Statutes, as amended (the "Act"). After holding the public hearing, the Board intends to <br />approve the proposed sale of the Real Property by private negotiation under authority <br />granted to it under the Act. <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 15th day of December, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. (or as <br />soon thereafter as persons may be heard), in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, Cabarrus <br />County Governmental Center, 65 Church Street, South, Concord, NC, a public hearing <br />will be conducted concerning the approval of the proposed sale of the Real Property. All <br />interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing regarding the <br />proposed sale of the Real Property. <br /> <br />If reasonable accommodations are needed, please contact the Clerk at (704) 920-2110 at <br />least 48 hours prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE <br />December 4, 2003 <br /> <br />Frankie F.
