I <br />I <br /> <br />JCABARRUS COUNTYI <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Memorandum <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />From: ~ <br />Date: <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Al Berkeyheiser, Aging Advisory Board Chairman <br /> <br />January 10, 2002 <br /> <br />Aging Advisory Board <br />Recommendations for appointment of new members <br /> <br />On behalf of the Cabarrus County Department of Aging Advisory Board, please accept <br />the following recommendations for appointment to our Advisory Board in an effort to fill <br />the vacancies that were created by the expired terms of five of our members. These <br />members were Vernie King, Bill Nichols, Greg Villarosa, Martha Miller and Elmira Polk. <br /> <br />We respectfully request that Goldia Cruise, James Culp, Doris Hagler, Anita Helms and <br />Len Hill be appointed to fill these vacancies. Mrs. Cruise and Mrs. Hagler served on our <br />Advisory Board previously and served in. several capacities including Chairman. They <br />were very active in the Department of Aging programs and activities and have continued <br />to serve as advocates for older adults. Mr. Culp, Mrs. Helms and Mr. Hill are all active <br />in various aspects of the Department of Aging services and have a good understanding of <br />the needs of our local older adults. This recommendation received unanimous support by <br />our full membership during our December 17, 2001 meeting. <br /> <br />Thank you for your time and consideration.
