By-laws 5/14/97 <br />Pg. 3 <br /> <br />ARTICLE IV: Officers <br /> <br />Section 1 - Defined <br />The officers of the TCC shall consist of a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman. They will be <br />elected by the majority vote of the eligible voting members of the TCC. The Planning <br />Director of the Lead Planning Agency (LPA), or their appointee, shall serve as secretary <br />to the TCC. <br /> <br />· .Section 2 - Election~ <br /> Officers shall be elected annually by the members of the TCC at the first regular meeting <br /> of the calendar year. This will be the first agenda item, after which the new elected <br /> Chairman and Vice-Chairman shall take office. <br /> <br />Section 3 - Terms of Office <br />The term of office shall be one year. Officers may serve consecutive terms. Each officer <br />shall hold office until his or her successor has been duly elected or until his or her death, <br />resignation, disqualification, incapacity to serve, or removal from the committee by his or <br />her chief executive officer. · <br /> <br />Section 4 - Duties <br />The Chairman shall call and preside at meetings and appoint a clerk who will provide or <br />delegate staff service to the TCC. This will include taking summary minutes of meetings <br />as well as clerical responsibilities. The clerk will maintain a current copy of the by-laws <br />as an addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding. In the absence of the Chairman. <br />the Vice-Chairman shall preside and complete all other duties of the Chaim~an. These <br />duties include the following: <br /> <br />· Set the order of business for each meeting <br />· Preside at meetings and appoint sub-committees <br /> Serve as an ex-officio member of the TAC <br />· Authenticate by signature the official documents of the TCC <br /> <br />ARTICLE V: Meetings <br /> <br />Section 1 - Reeular <br />The first meeting of the calendm- year will be in January. Meetings will be held monthly <br />on a regularly schedule and time approved by the committee. An annual calendar of <br />meetings will be presented at the first meeting of the calendar year and will be endorsed <br />by the TCC as its schedule of meetings. Regular meetings may be canceled by the <br />Chairman should there be insufficient business on the committee's tentative agenda. 'The <br /> <br /> <br />
