Resolution No. 2002- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FILING FEES <br />FOR CANDIDATES FOR <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONER AND SHERIFF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, filing for the Year 2002 candidates for County Commissioner and Sheriff <br />begins on February 18, 2002, if approved by the Justice Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarms County Board of Elections has requested direction in <br />establishing filing fees for these offices; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 163-107 fixes the filing fee for County <br />Commissioner and Sheriff at one percent (1%) of the annual salary for each office; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the annual salary for a County Commissioner is $9,904.60 and the annual <br />salary for the Sheriff is $81,934.34. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby sets the following filing fees for the 2002 Election and directs that this <br />information be forwarded to the Board of Elections: <br /> <br />County Commissioner $ 99 <br />Sheriff $819 <br /> <br />Adopted this the 28th day of January, 2002. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Robert M.
