DRAFT <br /> <br />February 18, 2002 Page 282 <br /> <br />APPOI~I~NTS TO BOARDS ~ COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financin~ Authority <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner' Suggs and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Carl Donahue to the Industrial <br />Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority for a term of six years <br />ending January 10, 2008, contingent upon Mr. Donahue's acgeptance of the <br />appointment. <br /> <br /> One vacancy remains on the Financing Authority, as Robert Suddreth did not <br />wish to be considered for reappointmen= due to work commitments. <br /> <br />Adult Care Nome Community Adviso~ Co~nit=ee <br /> <br /> UI~ON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed William J. King to the Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Commit=ce for an initial term of one year ending February 28, <br />2003. <br /> <br />INFOP. MAL PUBLIC COUNTS <br /> <br /> Chairman Freeman opened the meeting for Informal Public Comments at 8:42 <br />p.m. There was no one present who wished to address the Board, and Chairman <br />Freeman closed that portion of the meeting. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS DIS~SSION & RESPONSE TO INFOR~h%L PUblIC CO~S <br /> <br /> Vice Chairman Carruth reported that Adam Hines from the Cabarrus Health <br />Alliance would be attending the February 25=" meeting ~o discuss a proposed <br />"Quality of Life" Resolution. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> ~ON' MOTION Of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Vice Chairman'Carruth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session co discuss <br />personnel ma~ters as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143- <br />318.11(a) (6) and to discuss matters relating co the expansion of businesses or <br />industries in Cabarrus County as authorized by North Carolina General Statute <br />143-18.11(a) (4). <br /> <br /> U~ON MOTION of Commissioner Prive=te, seconded by Commissioner Suggs and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to come our of the Closed Session. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the Closed Session. <br /> <br />RECESS OF MEETING <br /> <br /> There being no fur=her business to come before =he Board, Chairman Freeman <br />recessed the meeting at 9:$0 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2002, <br />in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
