7. Made friendly visits to facilities. <br /> <br />8. Worked with administrative staff, families, and residents on grievance resolutions· <br /> <br />9. Participated in activities such as sing-alongs, 1 to 1 visits, dancing groups, and bingo at numerous homes. <br /> <br />10. Participated in church and civic organizations, which donated personal items, flowers, game prizes, etc. for residents. <br />11. New member recruitment and orientation including placing an ad in 'church bulletin seeking volunteers. <br /> <br />12. Planned and held the second annual Cabarrus County Resident's Rights Celebration for over 200 residents and staff <br /> of Cabarrus long term care facilities. Members were instrumental in coordinating with churches and community <br /> businesses in providing food and gifts for residents. <br /> <br />13. Donated items for arts and crafts activities to nursing facRities. <br /> <br />14. Conducted musical programs at all Cabarrus county nursing homes through local churches. <br /> <br />15. Met all committee goals established at the beginning of the year including making 25% of their monitoring visits on <br /> the weekend days. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />Continued to distributed resident's rights posters to all nursing, facilities in the county for posting in the halls as <br />needed.. <br /> <br />17. Recognized various members of committee after resignation for .their years of service and commitment. <br /> <br />18. Adopted two needy residents from nursing facilities for the holidays season, donated gifts, and made special visits. <br /> <br /> COMMITTEE STRENGTHS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Despite the small number of members, they are very dedicated and hard working, with faithful attendance at <br />meetings, training, and facility visits. <br /> <br />Good working relationship with residents and staff at facilities. <br /> <br />'Extremely knoxvledgeable about the Cabarrus facilities and the local Cabarms county community and a{Tailable <br />resources <br /> <br />Active in the Cabarrus community and churches, which benefits the nursing facilities through resources and <br />interaction. <br /> <br />5. Consistent and good working relationship with regional Ombudsman. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE CHALLENGES <br /> <br />1. Small number of members on the committee. <br /> <br />2.
