The proposed FY 2003 CIP budget totaled $7,857,000.00 and included the <br /> following items: First Union Building - $500,00.00; First Union Building-HVAC <br /> $105,000.00} Tax Software/Hardware - $252,000.00; Harrisburg School Park - <br />$224,000.00; Frank Liske Park - $57,500.00; and Camp Spencer - $218,500.00; <br />and Cabarrus County Sch6ols - $6,500,000.00. (5chool Bus Garage - $902,500.00; <br />School Administrative Offices $2,000,000.00; School Maintenance/Warehouse <br />Building - $1,097,500.00; and Five Gy~nnasiums - $2,500,000.00) . In addition, <br />Capital Outlay Funding ($1,290,150.00) and Capital School Startup Funding <br />($450,000.00) for the Cabarrus County Schools and Capital Outlay Funding <br />($209,850.00) for the Kannapolis City Schools would be pending receipt of <br />State Reimbursemen:s. Mr. Clifton also reviewed options concerning the jail <br />facilities, including the construction of an addition to the existing <br />facility in downtowi% Concord or the possibility of building a jail, <br />courthouse and new office space at a new site outside the downtown area. <br /> <br />Closed Session <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session as <br />authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (4) to discuss an <br />economic development matter. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Co~issioner Fennel, seconded by Vice Cha, irman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of the Closed Session. <br /> <br /> No action was reported from the Closed Session. <br /> <br />Ad~ou=nment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Freeman adjourned the meeting at 10:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
