July 17, 2002 ICASARRUSCOUNIYI NO~T~ C~OLINA MEMORANDUM TO: Board of Commissioners RE: Expo Construction Items As the project gets closer to completion, we are finalizing items within the plan, which were either modified, deleted or added. Each of the attached changes reflects elements of the project that have been deferred until now to incorporate the noted actions. The project remains within the construction budget. There are still a few items yet to be finalized. Each of those has been previously identified. Change Order #29C is the final site lighting plan and power outlets for various areas of the Midway. This includes the lighting for the parking areas. · Change Order g48 is the variance created for the "folding" wall in the Exhibit Building next to the Arena. The difference reflects a credit for the solid wall previously in the plans. Change Order #50 provides electrical outlets to the site signage (one to be located out on Highway 49 and one at the main driveway off of Old Airport Road). These will be marquee type signs with electronic data boards. The actual signage was bid under a package not included in Matthews' project bid. This change order is for the extension of power to the signage sites. · Change Order #51 is a power upgrade for the fire pump required by the City of Concord. · Change Order #52 is for additional exit lighting. · Change Order #53 represents a change in fixtures (lights). We pursued a less costly alternative. Mike Downs can fully explain each change order if required. Your approval is requested. Each of the above items has been previously authorized to meet time schedule requirements. We have previously identified the major items to the Board.
