(a) It shall be the duty of the fire inspectors to evaluate applications and issue, if approved, all permits as prescribed in "-~ .... ~ -~ '~^ -"~ ~,.~-~ ccdc International Fire Prevention Code, N.C. (b) The firc prcvcnticn bureau Public Safety Services Department shall recognize the guidelines set forth under the State Environmental Protection, Air Pollution Control Requirement, Regulations 15 NCAC 2D.0520 2D.1900 for control and prohibition of open burning. (c) No person shall maintain, store or handle materials or conduct processes which produce conditions hazardous to life or property or install equipment used in connection with such activities without a permit as required by the International Fire Prevention Code, N.C. Amendments. Before a permit may be issued, the fire marshal or his his/her representative shall inspect and .approve the receptacles, vehicles, buildings, structures, storage areas, devices, processes or conditions related to the permit. Amendments shall be made to the fire inspectors on forms provided by the county. All applications shall be accompanied by the applicable permit fee as established by the county. The required permit fee shall be in a fee schedule. The schedule of fire prevention permit fees is not printed in this article but is on file and available in the county offices and shall be effective August 19, 2002. Fire code violations shall be handled as follows: (1)If an inspector writes a citation (three part form), the pink copy is given to the violator, the white copy is filed with the ~ .......... ~- ~ .......
