Murphy p~X~ <br />August 8, 2002 <br /> <br />Subject: Philip Morris Grant <br /> <br />Enclosed please f'md a Budget Amendment Request form that will allow us to expend <br />funds that we were able to secure via a grant l~om the Philip Morris Employee <br />Community Fund through a collaborative effort with the Cabarms County Council on <br />Aging. These funds will be used to expand our Caregiver Support program and will <br />allow us to address the needs of a group of local older adults that have been identified to <br />be high on the priority list of at risk clients that we serve. These funds do not require any <br />additional local match and will not require additional staff to administer. We will utilize <br />current staff and local volunteers to oversee this project. <br /> <br />On behalf of the Cabarrus County Department of Aging and the Cabarrus County <br />Council on Aging, I respectfully request approval of the Budget Amendment.
