Community Planning and Organization: <br /> Organized RC&D or Communi .ty Group: <br /> <br />Sponsors: <br /> Counties and Soil & Water Conservation Districts: <br /> Cabarrus, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union <br /> <br />Board of Directors: <br /> <br />Activity Under Way That Implements the Goals in the Area Plan: <br /> <br />Levels of Support: <br /> <br />Communi .ty Representativeness: <br /> <br />Required Clauses / Agreements: <br />The local sponsors make application for federal assistance under the Agriculture and Food Act of <br />1981 Public Law 97-98, 16 U.S.C. 3452-3461 as amended by Public Law 101-624, Section 1452. <br /> <br />The South Central Piedmont RC&D Council's program will be conducted in compliance with the <br />nondiscrimination provisions as contained in Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as <br />amended, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (Pub. Law 100-259) and other <br />nondiscrimination statues; namely, Section 504, of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title IX of the <br />Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act 1975 and in accordance with <br />regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture (7CFR-15, Subparts A&B) which provide that no <br />person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, <br />marital status, or handicap/disability be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits <br />of, or be other wise subject to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal <br />financial or technical) assistance from the Department of Agriculture or any agency thereof. <br /> <br />The South Central Piedmont RC&D Council agrees that the signing of this document constitutes <br />agreement to comply with federal laws concerning restrictions on lobbying, a drug-free <br />workplace, and responsibilities for procurement, suspension, and disbarment. <br /> <br />The South Central Piedmont RC&D Council has had this application reviewed by the state. <br />Comments made through the state single point of contact have been considered prior to <br />submission of the application and that all applicable procedures have been followed. An <br />environmental impact statement will not be prepared during the development of the area plan, but <br />an environmental assessment or environmental impact statement will be prepared concurrently <br />with the development of each project, when applicable, in accordance with federal procedures. <br /> <br />RC&D Applicant Area Activity Report: <br /> <br />Sil~natory Paces: <br /> <br /> <br />
