I am <br />pleased to inform you that grant funds in the amount of $115,231, are h~reby authorized <br />for your local program with an effective date of July 1, 2002. <br /> <br /> This delay in funding has caused considerable difficulty for all Of us and I want to <br />take this opportunity to express my appreqiation for your patience and understanding. <br />Every effort will be made to ensure that grant funds for your county are processed as <br />quickly as possible. Therefore, we are asking that you review the "Grant Award <br />Package" and inform all relevant parties of their responsibilities. It is required ti:tat the <br />country's authorizing official sign and return the Grant Award Contract to the State <br />Partnership Staff Attn: Jennifer Stancil at 4254 MSC, 2020 Yonkers Road, Raleigh, <br />North Carolina 27699-4254 as soon as possible. The signed contract must be on file in <br />the state office before reimbursements can be made to the local county program. Due to <br />the urgency involved, we re'quest you forward these documents to the central office no <br />later than October, 20, 2002.
