October 2, 2002 TO: Frank Clifton, Jr. Cabarrus County Manager John Day, Cabarrus County Deputy Manager Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners FROM: Steve Little, Director Cabarrus County Parks & Recreation Department SUBJECT: Revision of Facility Fee Schedule Recommended for Frank Liske Park Soccer Complex On September 30, 2002, the Frank Liske Park Soccer Complex Operating Committee met to revise the current Facility Fee Schedule. The recommended fees and charges will help offset monies spent by Cabarms County for maintenance and operation of the complex. All such fees and charges shall belong to Cabarrus County. The purpose of these recommendations will address three issues: 1) The current fee of $30.00 per hour does not include an optional field painting or lining fee of $45.00 A flat fee of $50.00 per hour for a minimum two-hour reservation period would include field lining and make it a standard operating procedure for reservations. If a reservation is for more than two hours, after the first two-hour reservation period, the hourly fee would be reduced to $30.00. 2) The current charges do not include non-resident fees. A large number of inquiries about use of the complex have been received from people living outside of Cabarms County. The recommended non-resident fees are in line with the standard park fees for non- residents (double the resident fees). 3) The current fee schedule does not include a charge for the use of the meeting room. A $15.00 per hour fee has been recommended. Following are the current and recommended fees and charges: Current Fees Soccer Field Soccer Field Lining (perimeter lines only) Soccer Field Lining (complete) $30 per hour $25 per field $45 per field Recommended Fees Soccer Field (includes field lining/2-hr, min use) Soccer Field (after 2-hr. min use) Meeting Room Resident Fees $50 per hour $30 per hour $15 per hour Non-Resident Fees $100 per hour $60 per hour $30 per hour Effective Date: November 1, 2002
