(E-11) Change Order No. i to the Contract with Jones Brothers for Old Air~ort Road Revisions UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board approved Change Order No. I ($1,225.00) to the contract with Jones Brothers for the Old Airport Road revisions. Additional bollards will be placed at the Highway 49 entrance to the Expo Park as required by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. (B-12) Change Orders and Additional Items Related to the Expo Construction Process UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Change Orders to the contract with Matthews Construction Company for the Arena and Events Center and approved the additional items as listed below. Change Orders 1. Change Order Request #SSA- Masonry wall to enclose remainder of Livestock Building - $28,013.00 2. Change Order Request #58B - Wall system on top of masonry to complete enclosure of Livestock Building - $22,341.00 Additional Items 1. Telephone Equipment - Concord Telephone - $61,445.67 2. Voice Cabling NCT - $11,742.00 (This is an adjustment to the original contract; Needed to purchase specialized equipment for the proposed system) (B-13) Food Set.ices Agreement be=ween Cab&true County and The Compass ~roup for the Bxpo Perk UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Food Services Management Agreement between Cabarrus County and Compass Group USA, Inc. for food services at the Expo and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County. The initial term of the Agreement was for a period of ten (10) years. (~-14) Resolution to Convey Surplus Vehicle ~o the Flowe store Volunteer Fire Department UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA ) ) CABARRUS COUNTY ) Resolution No. 2002-35 RESOLL~ION WHEREAS, Cabarrus County has one (1) 1995 4-door Ford, vehicle identification number 2FALP71WOSX169238~ and, WHEREAS, this Board desires to dispose of the above referenced equipment; and, WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A, Article 12 sets forth procedures and requirements for counties in selling and disposing of property. Procedures include private negotiation and sale, sale by sealed bids, auction, upset bids, and exchanges; and, WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-279 provides that any governmental unit may convey personal proper~y to any o~her entity carrying out a public purpose, without compensation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County as follows: That in accordance with the provisions of General Statute 160A-267, this Board authorizes the County Purchasing Agent ~o dispose of the above referenced personal property no earlier than ten (10) days after a notice summarizing the contents of the resolution is published once. Also, pursuant to General Statute 160A-279, the aforementioned personal property may be conveyed to the Flowe Store Volunteer Fire Department without compensation.
