Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Reference: Annual Report of 2001-2002 <br /> <br /> On behalf of the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department, I would like <br />to present the 2001-2002 Fiscal Year Annual Report. <br /> <br /> The annual report highlights the parks and recreation services offered to all <br />residents of Cabarrus County and the implementation of new parks/recreation <br />improvements. Following are examples of the highlights: <br /> <br />· opened Phases I & II of North Cabarrus Park <br />· entered into an agreement with the Cabarrus County Boys and Girls Club for the <br /> operation and expansion of Camp TN Spencer as a public park <br />· accepted 60+ acres of property for two future park sites (Atando Road and Pharr Mill <br /> Road) <br />· approved lease operation and management agreement with the City of Concord for <br /> W.W. Flowe Park <br />· managed $200,000 on nine projects in Matching Incentive Grant Program <br />· managed construction of three parks and three school/park sites <br />· completed the Livable Community Blueprint <br /> <br /> We appreciate the support and assistance given to the department by the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, Cabarrus County Manager, Deputy <br />Manager, Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission and the citizens of <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> <br />
