Resolution No. 2002- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ENDORSING INTERSECTION <br />IMPROVEMENTS BY THE NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cabarrus County is experiencing increasing traffic volume and reduction of <br />traffic safety at major intersections in the County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, North Carolina Department of Transportation has offered installation of <br />signals at the intersection of Irish Potato Road (SR 2411) and Cold Springs Road (SR <br />2411) and the intersection of Poplar Tent Road (SR1394) and Harris Road (SR 1449) to <br />increase safety at these intersections; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this improvement to these intersection will provide increased safety and <br />improved traffic movement at these intersections for the Citizens of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarms County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby endorse the projects above as proposed by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation and request these intersection improvements be <br />constructed as proposed <br /> <br />Adopted this the '16th day of December 2002. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Robert M.
