'~. <br /> 1-~01 <br /> <br />SUMMARY REVIEW STATE~NT: <br /> The Equipment and Installation Rates have been reviewed and are ACCEPTABLE under required <br /> Federal Communications Commission guidelines. Comments follow. <br /> <br />COMMENTS AND EXPLANATIONS: <br /> <br />The Cable Act requires cable operators to charge rates ba~ed on actual costs for installation and the lease of <br />'subscriber equipment. The equipment and in~allation rates are set on ~/state-wide basis. Regulated equipment <br />includes all of the equipment located in the subscriber's home, including converter boxes, remote control units, <br />connections for additional outlets, and other cable wiring used to obtain basic service. <br /> <br />A review of the supporting data substantiates that the equipment and installation rates calculated for 2001 are <br />accurate, and should be approved by tho Franckise Authority.
