ilOIITII I:kRgLIN~

Februan/8, 2001

MEMO

To:

Cabarrus County Manager
Cabarrus County Deputy Manager
Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners

From:

Steve L. Little, Director
Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department

Subject:

Request to Revise Approved Cabarrus County Matching Incentive Grant
Project (W.M. In/in Elementary School/Park)

On October 16, 2000 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners approved a Cabarrus County
Matching Incentive Grant for W.M. In/in Elementary School/Park in the amount of $7,500.00. In
February 2001, a PTO officer for W.M. Irvin School contacted our office to inform us that they no
longer need the matching grant funds to complete the irrigation and grass project on the athletic
fields. Their expenses will be funded by other sources.

The attached budget amendment will transfer this amount ($7,500.00) to the Matching Incentive
Grant unfunded balance. On February 12, 2001 the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation
Commission will review and recommend the 2r~ Phase Matching Incentive Grant projects. I will
forward their recommendations to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners for their
consideration.
