CAOARflUS COUN1Yi <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Planning Depmiment <br />Jonathan Marshall: Director <br />James Sasser-Transportation Planner: Representative (TAB) <br /> <br />Cabamls County Commissioners <br />Consent Agenda: Board Meeting 03/26/2001 <br /> <br />Ref: Cabarrus County Transporfation Board <br /> <br />Request to consent to expand the membership and scope of the board (TAB) is based on <br />stipulations of governance outlined by the NC State Dept. of Transportation -Public <br />Transportation Dept.'s grant application requirements. (Att: pg.2 CTP app) <br /> <br />Article 2 defines the spectrum of community involvement expected to fully commit to a <br />community transportation program. <br /> <br />Currently the TAB is comprised 0frepresentatives from only the required Core service <br />providers in Cabarrus County: Dept. of Aging; DSS; Health Alliance; and Cabarms <br />Workshop. One CORE agency seat- Mental Health is vacant at this time. <br /> <br />A vacancy also exist currently for the Nursing Home seat on the TAB. <br /> <br />Two currently filled seats comprise the balance of the currently seated board: Life Center <br />representative and a representative of the communities Visually Impaired. <br /> <br />Currently the TAB is comprised of 7 members-the TAB request that the County Board <br />of Commissioners approve the below named individuals representing the required <br />community involvement level. <br /> <br />Head Start: Janet C. Purser <br />EMS: Michael Stafford <br />Cabarrus Health Alliance: Pamela K. Lockard (replace Gina Goffas representative in this <br /> seat) <br /> Healthy Cabarms: Gina Goff (New Seat) <br /> <br />The approval of these three year appointments effective 07/01/2001 to the Cabarms <br />County Transportation Board will enhance the quality of services to the community as a <br />result of additional needs identification presented by this forum of diverse services. <br /> <br /> Planning Services Division <br /> <br /> <br />
