CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: March 26, 2001 <br /> <br />Agenda Item #~'~- ~) <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Unified Development Ordinance, Zoning Atlas (maps) and Memorandum of <br />Understanding. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Consider the adoption of the Unified Development Ordinance with <br />the changes already requested by the Board Of Commissioners and with the changes <br />recommended by the Steering Committee in their first quarterly update. The following acfions <br />should be included in any favorable motion: <br />1. Adoption of the UDO Draft dated November 8, 2000 that includes changes requested by <br /> the Board of Commissioners. <br />2. Adoption of the changes recommended by the Steering Committee in the first quarterly <br /> review. These changes are outlined on the attachment. <br />3. Adoption of the Zoning Atlas applying UDO zoning districts to the unincorporated areas <br /> of the County. <br />4. Application of an effective date for the Ordinance. Staff recommends May 1,2001. <br />5.
