Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28026-0707 <br /> <br />Dear <br /> Frank: <br /> / ' .. <br />This letter is to follow-up on a conv~sation we had just over a week ago regarding a <br />presentation on RCCC for t~J0'arrus County Commission. We would like to schedule our <br />presentation for the Marc¥19t~Aneeting of the commission and will need only about fifteen <br />minutes on the agenda. <br /> <br />Frank, our presentation on RCCC will be structured as follows: <br /> <br />Dr. Brownell will provide an introductory overview of the college, highlighting <br />briefly RCCC's history in Cabarrus County. He will describe the college's growth <br />over the past ten years or so, as well as our projections for enrollment growth in the <br />future. Also, he will describe many of the partnerships RCCC participates in <br />throughout the Cabarms community, focusing on the partnerships with local high <br />schools, area colleges and universities, and business organizations such as the <br />Chamber of Commerce and the EDC. <br /> <br />Ann Hovey, Associate Vice President for Administrative Services, will address <br />work. force development and economic development issues focusing on the impact of <br />RCCC in Cabarrus County. She wilt highlight particularly the college's programs in <br />adult literacy, continuing education and business/industry support programs. Ann <br />played a major role in developing the Post-Secondary Workforce Development <br />Profile study completed by RCCC in partnership with the Chamberg of Commerce in <br />Rowan and Cabarms Counties. She will briefly describe the study and highlight the <br />importance of RCCC in developing our region's workforce. <br /> <br />Frank, I'll focus on south campus' response to many of the influences mentioned by <br />Dr. Brownell and Associate Vice President Hovey. I will be describing the south <br />campus facilities' master plan and our most immediate plans for a third building. <br />Additionally, I'I1 describe some of the growth trends we anticipate in Cabarrus <br />County and the impact of these trends on the college and its facilities and programs. <br /> <br /> <br />
