Shue. His response was as <br />follows: <br />State law 130A-187 states: <br /> The local health department of each county shall organize at least one rat)les vaccination clinic for dogs and cats <br />per year. The clinic shall be advertised by public notice in local newspapers, <br />State law 130-A-188 states: <br /> The County Board of Commissions has the authority to a~tabi sha fee for the county rabies clinic, not to exceed <br />$4.00 plus a charge for the actual cost of the vaccine. Th s wila so include a rah es vaccination certificate and a rallies <br />va(;(;inalion tag. <br /> Lt. Shue stated t~at rabies vaccination and syringes costs the Cabarrus County A~lmal Shelter .39 per shot. <br />(when erclerecl In lots of 200) <br /> Lt. Shue feels that the cost for the rabies vaccination in these clinics should be kept as Iow as possible, <br />Otherwise, people will not come, and we defeat the purpose. <br /> Surrounding ~untles currerttly charge $5.00.
