Brad Riley, Sheriff <br /> <br /> Retirement of <br /> Talmadge David Blackwell <br />Deputy Sheriff Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office <br /> <br /> Talmadge David Blackwell joined the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy <br />Sheriff on October 15, 1972. <br /> <br />Talmadge is married to Becky Blackwell and they have a son David and a daughter Kim. <br /> <br /> Following graduation from Central Cabarrus High School in 1969 he joined the U.S. <br />Army Reserves and served with the Reserves until 1975. <br /> <br /> While with the Sheriff's Department, Talmadge earned his Associates Degree in Applied <br />Science Criminal Justice from Central Piedmont Community College in 1976. <br /> <br /> He is currently assigned to the Communications Division, where he works in a relief <br />position. Tatmadge has worked in several different divisions at the Sheriff's Department <br />including Patrol and Jail divisions. He is a Certified Telecommunicator, Detention Officer, <br />Emergency Medical Dispatcher, and is DCI certified. Along with the certifications, Talmadge <br />has hundreds of hours of in-service training. <br /> <br /> Talmadge exemplifies the qualities ora law enforcement professional. He has been a <br />loyal and dedicated servant to the department and the citizens of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />We wish him well in all of his future endeavors. <br /> <br />P,O.
