Zoutewelle, PLS, June 4, 2001. The above-described property is a part of that property acquired by the Grantor in Book 2290 page 59, Cabarrus County Registry. Chairman Fennel advised Mr. Scarbrough and the others present for the meeting that they should address the issues relating to the zoning and development of Saddle Creek with the Town of Harrisburg. Cabar~s/Meckler~ur~ Co%mt~Line Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Planning Services Director, presented an update on the re-survey of the Mecklenburg/Cabarrus County line. The line was last re-surveyed in 1905 and discrepancies have been found between the tax maps and the recent re-survey. As '~special co~nissioner" appointed by the Board, Mr. Marshall is working with Mecklenburg County staff and the State to resolve boundary issues and to develop a recom~nendation for consideration by the County Commissioners in both Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties. He stated it would be at least six months and possibly longer before this issue would be brought to the Board for consideration. Closed Session - Economic Development UPON MOTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Freeman and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to discuss matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in Cabarrus County as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11[a) (4). UPON ~OTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Freeman and unanimously carried, the Board moved to end the Closed Session. NO action was reported from the Closed Session. Closed Session - Acquisition of Real Pro,ertl/ UPON MOTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Freeman and unanimously carried, the Beard moved to go into Closed Session to give instructions to counsel as to the position to be taken on behalf of the Board in negotiating the price and other material terms of a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a) (~). UPON MOTION of Chairman Fennel, seconded by Co~missioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board moved to end the Closed Session. No action was reported from the Closed Session.
