NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING A <br /> RECREATIONAL FACILITY TO BE FINANCED <br /> WITH THE PROCEEDS OF TAX-EXEMPT BONDS <br />TO BE ISSUED BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES <br />AND POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCING AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br />Control Financing Authority (the "Authority') has determined to issue its Tax-Exempt Adjustable Mode <br />Recreational Facilities Revenue Bonds (the "Bonds'), and loan the proceeds thereof to the Cannon <br />Memorial Young Men's Christian Association, a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (the "YMCA '), in <br />the prLncipa[ amount not to exceed $8,300,000, for the purpose of financing of all or a portion of the cost <br />of(l) constructing, equipping and furnishing a recreational facility located in Concord, North Carolina and <br />(2) other improvements related to the tax-exempt purpose of the YMCA (collectively, the "Project'). <br /> <br /> The Project will be located at Afton Village near the intersection of 1-85 and Crisco Road in <br />Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina. The approximate cost of the Project is $8,300,000 and the <br />maximum aggregate principal amount of the Brads proposed to be issued by the Authority is $8,300,000. <br />The Project will be owned and operated by the YMCA. <br /> <br /> Please take notice that the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing in the <br />Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Cabarms County Government Center, on Monday,Sep~: ember ~ 7, <br />2001 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon lhereafler asthe matter may be hmrd, at which any p~rson may be heard <br />regarding the proposed issuance of the Bonds for the purpose of paying for the Project. Fo[lowing the <br />hearing, the Board of Commissioners intends to consider and take action on proposals to approve the <br />issuance of the Bonds for the purpose of paying for the Project. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed Bonds and the Project should do so, <br />within fourteen (14) days after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority and to the County <br />Commissioners, c/o Clerk to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, 65 Church Street SE, <br />Concord, North Carolina 28026. <br /> <br />/s/Frankie F.
