Contract <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />This contract is entered into this <br />County. <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />2001, by the Town of M0unt Pleasant and Cabarrus <br /> <br />The Town of Mount Pleasant and Cabarrus County, in consideration of the mutual covenants, promises and <br />agreements herein contained, agree as follows: <br /> <br />Scope of Work: Cabarrus County shall provide to the Town of Mount Pleasant the services set forth in the <br />Contract Documents consisting of planning and zoning review and enforcement for a period from July 1, <br />2001 through June 30, 2002 (Contract Term). <br /> <br />The scope of services shall include long range planning, subdivision regulation, zoning plan review, zoning <br />permitting, zoning enfomement and flood plain regulation. Board of Adjustment and Planning Board <br />functions shall be provided through the Mount Pleasant Planning & Zoning Commission with staff support <br />and training .to be provided by County staff. This scope of services shall not include annexation activity <br />except as it relates to the administrative rezoning of annexed properties. <br /> <br />The Town of Mount Pleasant shall supply a Clerk for the Mount Pleasant Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />The Clerk shall be responsible for compiling meeting agendas, mailing of all material to Planning & Zoning <br />Commission members, minutes of all meetings, and record keeping. <br /> <br />Contract Documents: The Contract Documents consist of this signed Contract form and any Exhibits <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br />Compensation and Method of Payment: For satisfactorily providing all services described and required in <br />the Contract Documents, Cabarrus County shall receive a $3,000 direct payment from the Town of Mount <br />Pleasant and shall retain one half of all planning and zoning permit and review fees. <br /> <br />In witness whereof the parties have caused this Contract to be duly executed, intending to be bound thereby. <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT <br /> <br />Authorized Authorized <br />Signature: Signature: <br /> <br />Title: Title: <br />Date: Date: <br /> <br />*This instrument has been pre-audited in the manner required by the Local Government Budget and Fiscal <br />Control Act. <br /> <br />Finance Director <br /> <br /> <br />
