Memo

From:

CC:

Date:

Re:

Board of county Commissioners

Rodger Len~, AICP

Frank Clifton

09/11/01

Questions regarding the LPT Investments subdivision

What percentage of the Town of Harrisburg's water comes from Mecklenburg County and what
percentage comes from the City of Concord?

As explained by Town of Harrisburg officials a majodty of their water is supplied by the water line
on Highway 29 that connects Concords regional water system with CMUD's water system. Since
Concord performs all wholesale billing and serves as agent for that line, percentages cannot be
calculated.

2. Water restrictions.

Harrisburg is participating in water restrictions. According to Doug Huneycutt the town typically
uses 550,000 gallons per day and is currently running around 450,000 gallons of water per day.

3. What is the anticipated cost of homes in this neighborhood?

Mr. Darrell Terrant, the applicant, has said he expects home pdces to be from $180,000 and up.

4. Updated school seat inventory using 10~h day counts for 2001-2002.

This information is included in your staff report.

Page 1
