Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Recommended Cabarrus County Matching Incentive Grant Requests for <br />Fiscal Year 2001-2002. <br /> <br />On August 23; 2001, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission heard <br />presentations from ten community groups requesting Cabarrus County Matching <br />Incentive Grant Funds. The total of approved funds available is $100,000.00. The total <br />requested funds is $107,799.89. On September 27, 2001, the Cabarrus County Parks <br />and Recreation Commission recommended the following: <br /> <br />1. Eliminate the Harrisburg School PTO request due to their missing the deadline of <br /> August 17t~ (received August 20). <br />2. Reduce $3940 from the Mt. Pleasant Youth Soccer Association request (Mt. <br /> Pleasant Community Enrichment Center). <br />3. Require the Wolf Meadow School PTO to construct a new basketball court (not <br /> repair current court); and, if monies remain from the grant, it is to be used for <br /> signage and/or picnic tables. <br />4. Accept the Northwest Baseball request (installing two loads of brick dust on the <br /> high. baseball field).
