Resolution No. 2001- CABARRUS COUNTY WATER AND SEWER CHARGES FOR THE NORTHWEST DISTRICT AND SOUTHWEST DIST~CT WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus desires to plan for growth and to facilitate such growth through the provision of water and sewer service. The Northwest District and Southwest District shall include the land bounded by Interstate 85 beginning at the Mecklenburg County line and east along 1-85 to Highway 73 interchange as the South Boundary; and west along Highway 73 and including lands fronting both sides of Highway 73 to Odell School Road and north on Odell School Road to Hooresville Road (NC 136) and north on Mooresville Road (NC 136) to the Iredell County line as the East Boundary; west along the Iredell County line to the Mecklenburg County line as the North Boundary; and south along the Mecklenburg County line to Interstate ]:-85 as the West Boundary, and enact a utility connection fee system in an area bounded by Interstate 1-85 on the North, Mecklenburg County on the West, Highway 24-27 · on the South and Highway 601 on the East; and WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus requires a recapture plan from connection to the water and sewer lines; NOW, THEREFORE, BE il- RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, that: Section 1: Future users connection to the lines within the Northwest District and Southwest District and have not participated financially in the construction of extensions shall be required to pay an assessment fee for each line connection as follows: Assessment A or B applies - (whichever is greater). A. Water 3/,,, service meter _4_ $500.00 1" service meter--- $500.00 2" service meter --- $1,000.00 4" service meter--- $1,000.00 6" service meter--- $2,000.00 Fire Line ............... $1,000.00 Sewer Connections -- $500.00 per lot. B. Commercial and Industrial users will be assessed $2,000.OO per developed acre. Any additional acreage will be assessed as it is developed.
