If <br />the County Commission desires to limit appointments to County residents unless otherwise <br />provided by State rule or statute, that can be done by simply amending the existing policy. <br /> <br />Also attached is a list of current appointees that are non-residents of Cabarrus County serving on <br />various advisory boards along with details on appointment requirements. <br /> <br />Whatever action the County Commission may desire to take, you probably want to allow <br />yourself the flexibility to declare an exception to the rules and allow for appointment of a non- <br />resident if it is in the best interest of the County. <br /> <br />Please advise of further direction.
