CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: 10/22/01 <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Appointments - Home and Community Care Block Grant Steering Committee <br /> <br />At the 9/17/01 meeting, the Board reappointed Betty Babb, Susan Donaldson, Estelle Ferraro, Paul <br />Gebhardt, Sandra Russell, Richard Suggs and Robin Swaringen and appointed Gall Linker to the <br />HCCBG Steering Committee. The Board delayed the appointment/reappointment of other nominees <br />(Mike Murphy, Chasity Stoker and Laurie Abounader) who reside outside Cabarrus County. Since <br />the meeting, it has been confirmed that Sandra Russell (Social Services) and Susan Donaldson <br />(Department of Aging) do not live in Cabarrus County. Also, an application has been received from <br />the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center, Inc. recommending the <br />appointment of Susan Caudle, Executive Director of the L.I.F.E. Center, to the HCCBG Steering <br />Committee. Ms. Caudle is a resident of Stanly County. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Consider the appointment of additional members to the Steering <br />Committee for terms ending June 30, 2003.
