Box 707 Concord, NC 28026-0707 Dear Mr. Fennel, On behalf of the Board of Directors of Coltrane LIFE Center, I would like to recommend that Mrs. Susan Caudle be appointed to the Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) Advisory Corruruttee. As a service provider of HCCBG funding, we believe it is important for both adult day care and adult day health services to be properly represented on this committee. Coltrane LIFE Center's older adult participants receive the majority of HCCBG adult day care reimbursement. Many of them need adult day health services, as their health status is frail. Having previously served on the advisory committee in Stanly County and having worked with HCCBG funding for over eight years, Mrs. Caudle is very familiar with the HCCBG process. She also serves as an advocate for frail older adults and their family members--particularly those needing adult day care and day health services. As a member of the committee, Mrs. Caudle can accurately represent the needs and services of adult day care and adult day health. Therefore, it is our recommendation that the Cabarrus County Commissioners appoint Mrs. Susan Caudle to serve on the Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory comrmttee.
