CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: November 19, 2001 Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Utility Bill Audit and Sales Tax Re-Allocation Audit by Utilities Reduction Specialists, Inc. <br /> <br />The telephone audit is to do an in depth analysis of one year of billing, to ascertain if equipment and <br />charges are correct and that billings are proper. We had this done six years ago and it proved <br />valuable in both savings and advice on phone system concerns and future billings. This is the same <br />company we used last time and they proved to be experts in this area. <br /> <br />Also requesting a sales tax re-allocation audit. This process involves working with our accounts <br />payable files, especially those out of state, to verify that those vendors are reporting correctly.
