STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF CABARRUS <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this <br /> <br />SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />1st day of January, 2000, by and <br /> <br />between Cabarms County, North Carolina, a corporate and political subdivision of the State of <br />North Carolina ("County"), and Ronald L. Barnhardt, d/b/a Bamhardt's Lawn Care, 8175 Kluttz <br />Road, Rockwell, North Carolina 28138 ("Contractor"). <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County has awarded to the Contractor <br />the bid for the mowing, trimming and edging services for ten (10) County properties, as such <br />services and maintenance are described in the County's Specifications and Invitation for Bids <br />which is attached hereto as Schedule A and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein <br />(the "Specifications"). The bid is awarded pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises <br />expressed herein, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />ITEM 1. <br /> <br />Contractor's Obligations. <br /> <br />(a) That the Contractor will provide the County with the mowing, <br /> trimming and edging services set out in the Specifications and in <br /> accordance with the Bid Proposal dated April 28, 1999, which is <br /> attached hereto as Schedule B and incorporated herein by reference <br /> (hereafter the "Services"). <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The Contractor will furnish all necessary equipment and manpower <br />required to fully perform the Services in a high quality and timely <br />fashion, at the price specified herein.
