TAC By-laws <br />Pg. $ <br /> <br />Memorandum of Understanding is revised to reflect additional membership. The TAC <br />shah include one member from each of the following: <br /> <br />· Rowan County Board of Commissioners <br />· Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />· China Grove Board of Aldermen <br />· Landis Board of Aldermen <br />· Kannapolis City Council <br />· Concord City Council <br />· Harrisburg Town Council <br />· Member of the North Carolina Board of Transportation Division 10 <br />· Member of the North Carolina Board of Transportation Division 9 <br /> <br />Representatives from each of the following bodies will serve as non-voting members of the <br />TAC: <br /> <br />Federal Highway Administration <br />Other local, state or Federal agencies impacting transportation in the planning area at <br />the invitation of the TAC. <br /> <br />Section 2 - Terms <br />Members of the TAC shall be designated by the governing boards they represent. <br />Members shall remain in office until 1) their designation has been rescinded by their <br />respective governing board; 2) their governing board has designated a duly qualified <br />replacement member; 3) their membership in the respective governing board has ceased. <br />Membership on the TAC shall not be effective until the respective mayor or ChaittBan has <br />sent written notification of the appointment to the secretary of the TAC along with the <br />member's current contact information. <br /> <br />Section 3 - Alternate~ <br />Each board shall appoint an alternate for its representative provided each alternate also <br />meets the same qualifications of membership. That alternate member may serve as a full <br />voting member during any meeting where that board's representative is not in attendance. <br />Proxy and absentee voting are not permitted. <br /> <br />ARTICLE V: Officers <br /> <br />Section 1 - Defined <br />The officers of the TAC shall consist of a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman. They will be <br />elected by the majority vote of the eligible voting members of the TAC. The Planning <br />Director of the Lead Planning Agency (LPA), or their appointee, shall serve as secretary <br />to the TAC. <br /> <br /> <br />
