Resolution No. 2000- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF <br /> SURPLUS PROPERTY TO <br />CENTRAL PIEDMONT COMMUNITY COLLEGE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes 153A-176 and 160A-274 set forth <br />authority for privately negotiated exchanges of personal property between two govemmental <br />entities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarms County has possession of an IBM Mainframe (ESS 9221-130) <br />and related equipment, including tape and cartridge drives, and line printer, that are now surplus <br />to the needs of Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Central Piedmont Community College has expressed an interest in some of <br />the equipment, pending receipt of a maintenance contract from IBM; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, equipment that is not requested by the College will be sent to recycling, <br />having received no bids that exceed the cost of crating and shipping. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cabarms County as follows: <br /> <br /> That in accordance with the provisions of General Statutes 153A-176 and 160A-274, this <br />Board authorizes the transfer of the surplus IBM Mainframe (ESS 9221-130) and related <br />equipment, including tape and cartridge drives and line printer, to Central Piedmont Community <br />College and further authorizes any of the equipment not requested by the College to be sent to <br />recycling. <br /> <br />Adopted this 21st day of February, 2000. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Arne L.
