CABARRUS COUNTY - CURRENT MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br />Cabarms County has four (4) members on the twenty (20) member Centralina Workforce <br />Development Board (WDB). The Cabarms County Commissioners will select and approve <br />nominations for WDB members based on the slate of nominations presented by the appropriate <br />agencies and organizations listed under "General Information" and "Membership". Each WDB <br />member is appointed to serve a two-year term. Nominations and appointments to fill the categories of Private Sector andPublic <br />Employment Service are requested. Mr. Whitley is eligible for reappointment as the Private Sector <br />representative. Mr. Whitley is an excellent board member and serves as WDB chair. <br />The Centralina WDB requests that Mr. Mark Whitley be reappointed. <br /> <br />* - Mr. Sharp has asked to step down from the Board. The organized labor slot has been moved <br />to Lincoln County. A Public Employment Service representative is needed. The Centralina <br />WDB requests appointment of Mr. Tim Beam (Cabarrus County Employment <br />Security Commission/JobLink Career Center manager) as the Public <br />Employment Service representative. <br /> <br />If an individual does not wish to be reappointed to the WDB, please obtain necessary nominations <br />for appointments. Please supply David Hollars at Centralina a list of nominations and appointees <br />(including name, title, company/agency, address, and phone numbers) as soon as possible but no <br />later than May 1, 2000. Individuals appointed or reappointed to the WDB by May 1 will be <br />invited to be pan of the Centralina WDB Retreat and Strategic Planning session on May 18-19, <br />2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
