Lynn Marsh, Principal of Odell Elementary School, outlined some of <br />the needs at the school, specifically technology, adequate power supply, <br />dependable boiler and adequate water pressure. <br /> <br /> The Board received the report on the condition of Odell School as <br />information. <br /> <br />Consideration of Resolution AoDrovin~ the Exchanaa of Real Pronertv (Odell <br />School Tract for a 61-Acre Tract) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart <br />and unanimously carried, the Board deferred consideration of the proposed <br />resolution approving the 0dell School property exchange for 62+/- acres on <br />Harris Road owned by J & B Management and Development. <br /> <br />Award of Audit Contract for Fiscal Year 2000 <br /> <br /> Mr. Blair Bennett, Deputy County Manager for Administration, reported <br />the County had received the following proposals for the audit of Cabarrus <br />County financial records. The ~Informal Request for Proposals" was advertised <br />in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE on February 25, 2000 and proposals received until <br />March 24. <br /> Year 2000 Year 2001 Year 2002 <br />Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, LLP $33,000 $34,000 $35,000 <br />McGladrey & Pullen, LLP $75,000 $78,750 $98,000 <br />Potter & Company, PA $25,000 $25,500 $25,500 <br /> <br /> There was brief discussion about using the same audit firm over an <br />extended period of time.
