V. COMMUNITY SUPPORT o. " <br />This is intended as a community based campaign. The program will reach o~'t~ all families in the community. <br />Members of the Child Protection team represent the following community age.n.c~ie.s and organizations: <br /> <br />Cabarrus Social Services <br />Cabarrus Partnership for Children <br />Cabarms Health Alliance <br />Pediatricians <br />Developmental Evaluation Center <br />NorthEast Medical Center <br />Cabarrus County Schools <br />Kannapolis City Schools <br />Child Care Resources Inc. <br />Cabarms Cooperative Christian Ministry <br />Kannapolis Head Start <br />Cabarms Schools Head Start <br />The Arc <br />Cabarms Churches <br />Guardian ad Litem progrmn director volunteers <br />District Attorney's Office <br />Kannapolis Police <br />Cabarrus Sheriff's Depmlment <br />Concord Police <br /> <br />Additional support will be sought from the following: <br /> <br />Publicity (in addition to contracted media project) H Independent Tribune <br /> Press releases will be submitted and the editor contacted to include articles about the campaign. <br /> H Cabarms Neighbors (Charlotte Observer) <br /> Press releases will be submitted and the editor will be contacted to include articles about campaign <br /> H Time Warner Cable <br /> Appearances will be scheduled by CCPT members on Health Focus and other local programs <br /> H NBC-^ Six To Grow On Campaign <br /> NBC-6 Community relations and news staff will be asked to do public service announcements and news stories <br /> on various aspects of the campaign. <br /> <br />Volunteers <br />American Red Cross will be asked to supply volunteers to distribute the brochures <br /> <br />Cabarrus Health Alliance <br />CHA will be asked to supervise distribution of care seats <br /> <br />SAFE KIDS Coalition <br />Certified car seat inspectors with SAFEKID Coalition will be asked to check car seats for proper installation after <br />distribution. <br /> <br />Cabarrus Social Services <br />Social workers at Cabarrus Social Services will be asked to distribute portacribs <br /> <br /> <br />
